My work on Remedios Varo, Salvador Dalí, and modernist art explores imagination, symbolic worlds, and the place of the psyche in art history. My undergraduate thesis examined Varo and the place of women in Surrealism.

I approach Autistic ways of thinking, communicating, and creating as sources of knowledge. The labyrinth offers one way to think about interior experience through myth, architecture, and personal reflection.

My research interests include the Colored Knights of Pythias Temple in Deep Ellum and the history of Oregon’s Fairview Training Center. These projects ask whose experiences survive in public memory and how institutions frame their stories.

Three undergraduate research grants supported travel and study, the Matthew Mythology podcast, and the Dalí portfolio catalogues and exhibition. The work moves between archival research, visual analysis, writing, and curation.
